Dermapen

What is Dermapen and how does it work?

An upgrade from the Dermaroller. Dermapen stimulates the skins natural healing response, encouraging the production of growth factors, collagen and elastin. The results being rejuvenated, revitalised and regenerated skin on the face and body. Dermapen is the latest in microneedling technology, it's a clinical corrective treatment that creates rejuvenating micro channels into the skin that stimulates the bodies own natural healing and rejuvenating response. Dermapen targets the appearance of ageing lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture, stretch marks and scars on the face and body. It'll give dull and damaged skin a refreshing boost!

What can Dermapen treat?

Ageing lines & wrinkles

Ultra violet damage (sun damage)

Scarring

Stretch marks

Problematic skin

Acne

Hyperpigmentation (brown patches)

Hypopigmentation/vitiligo

Rosacea/telangiectasia(redness)

What makes Dermapen unique to other skin rejuvenation methods?

Dermapen uses a specialised spring loaded cartridge which delivers fast, fractional and virtually painless treatments. It creates vertical channels into the skin, minimising damage, downtime and discomfort. It's adjustable speed and depth customises each procedure for targeted results. Dermapen can be used on all skin tones.

Does a Dermapen treatment hurt?

Generally no. On the face Dermapen would go no deeper then 1mm. If the treatment was on harder tissue e.g. a scar, then we would do slightly deeper. Numbing cream can be applied to the skin before the treatment.

When will I be able to see results and how many treatments will I need?

You can see results after just one treatment. Depending on what we are treating you may need around 3-8 treatments. General rejuvenation would usually need 2-3 treatments, whereas a scar would probably need more treatments. Depending on what we are targeting, treatments should be performed 4-8 weeks apart. The regenerating process will continue for up to 24 months post treatment, but it's advisable you get a top up treatment around every 6-12 months.

What will I look like after a Dermapen treatment?

Straight after a treatment you will look (and feel) slightly sunburnt. You will have a cooling and moisturising 24k gold face mask after the treatment with a cool stick massage, then we'll apply vitamin serum and a tinted SPF cream before you leave, which will help cover any pinkness you may have. Make up can be applied 24 hours after the treatment.

How long does a treatment take?

On average your whole appointment will take 30 minutes.
